Your Phone Might Be at Risk! CERT-In has issued an advisory

if you’re using an Android smartphone. There’s some big news for you: over 46 vulnerabilities have been found in Android versions 11, 12, 13, and 14. This includes a lot of devices running on version 12 and mostly affects those on snapdragon and media tech chipset. Basically, if you’re using any of these versions, you’re at risk. Whether you’re using basic processes or apps, these vulnerabilities are present everywhere. It’s pretty serious!

The Indian government CERT-In has issued an advisory

it’s really risky out there! Your data privacy is pretty much out the window. Companies have released updates, and if you check Qualcomm’s website, you’ll see notices and updates about it. The Indian government has issued advisory through certain  if you’re using any operating system—basically any Android phone—you should keep it updated. But you know, there are a lot of people in India who don’t change their phones every year, so their devices are… well, you get the point.”

Before 11 or even at 11, it might not be there. But in 12, 13, and 14, major updates were found. So, what about those whose phones don’t get updates? They have no way to get free of these vulnerabilities. When companies face this question, it makes me think that even if the new Android can’t run properly or the hardware isn’t capable, the Android versions that are still running should still receive security patches for at least 10 years. That’s why I always say, when you buy a smartphone, consider the specs.”

Chinese smartphone

“Also, check how long the phone is built to last. Like, if you get a Chinese smartphone, say, one like Vimm’s, and you don’t get any software updates for it, that’s a big deal. That’s why it’s often said that it’s important to buy smartphones from reputable brands; they pay attention to both hardware and software. You know why Microsoft’s Windows Phone failed, right? It was a solid effort from Microsoft, but it just didn’t cut it.”

“They shut down their whole company because of all the other operating systems, like Apple’s. Even a giant like Microsoft couldn’t make it in the phone business just because they couldn’t get the software right. This really shows how important software is. Now, for those who can update their phones, make sure you’re updating your Android devices. For those who aren’t getting updates, there’s really no solution for you—you’re either going to have to buy a new phone or stick with that old one.”

Why you choose always Raputed brand ?

keep this in mind: Now, a lot of people will say, ‘What do we do if there aren’t any updates?’ Well, you can’t safely use banking apps, and your data isn’t private either. You can’t expect privacy with that. Anything could happen with your phone. There’s always a downside, no matter how small it is. Many people also say, ‘Oh, that happens to other people, not to us.’ But that’s not the case! So alway u choose the brand they consistently provide timely updates and support for their devices.

Why your data is imporant

“Hey, are we just walking around with a nuclear formula that could leak? A lot can happen, you know. Identity theft is a real risk. Even if you don’t have money right now, you might later. Your information could end up being sold in bulk to the wrong people. Someone could misuse your identity for something shady. There’s a lot at stake. And even if your data isn’t super important, the data of people connected to you might be. Your network’s information could be valuable too, and even your parents’ data is important. Basically, anything could matter in this long game.”

Think about it in terms of the long

“Think about it in terms of the long run because once data gets leaked, it can stay on the server for years, and that’s a really big deal. If you liked this video

FAQs

Q: My phone is old. No updates are available. What can I do?
A: Yes. Older phones are relatively easy to attack. So, be wary of clicking and downloading anything. Always use a strong password and antivirus. Also, if possible, upgrade to a more up-to-date phone.

Q: Why is it necessary to buy from a known brand?
Q: Reputable brands normally upgrade their software for longer. Your phone is then less likely to have security holes. They care more about protecting your data, too.

Q: Why’s my data so important?
Q: Your data is like a treasure box containing information about you, your bank account details, and many other secrets. It can slip into the wrong hands and become quite a big problem. Imagine someone taking a loan or buying something in your name. That’s why protecting your data is so important.

A: What happens when my data gets stolen?
Q: If they steal your data, bad things can happen. Someone can use your information and act like they’re you, doing bad stuff. They might steal all your money or ruin your credit. It is like losing your keys and somebody takes your car.
