How to use Vista screen Saver in Windows XP
Are you bored with the traditional built-in screen saver of Windows XP and you want to have the same stylish looking Vista screen saver in your XP box. Yes now you can use the Vista screen saver in to bring life to your XP desktop. The most popular Vista screen savers are Bubbles, Aurora, Mystify and Ribbons. So here I have provided these 4 screen savers for Vista. Just take a look of the Bubbles and Aurora screen saver.
In order to install these screen savers in your Windows XP, you will have to download the patched screen savers from the links at the bottom of the post:
Once you download the files, unzip them and in each unzipped folder you will find the individual screen saver and a text file. The catch here is that this screen savers can not be configured from the screen
saver configuration option. So the included text file defines the required configuration option to customize the screen savers from registry. (If you are not sure how to use registry then do not touch the text files). Once you unzip the screen saver files, copy the individual screen savers to the C:\Windows\System32 folder in your computer. Goshh..this is that easy.
To activate the screen saver, right click on a blank area your desktop and click on properties. Now go to screen saver tab and the newly added savers are there in the list. Select the one you want to activate and click on Apply OK. Thats all ….After the set inactivity time
ur new Bubble screen saver pops up and you say thanks to the guy who showed you the trick.
Here are the download links again:

I find a bubbles screensaver exactly like vista bubbles but have power views than it.
flowBubbles described special for xp and win2000 and win98.
1, You can place your photos into bubbles.
2, You can use your photos as screensaver background image instead of the static desktop image.
3, It has charming sound when bubbles crash each other

I love the bubbles screen saver. I’d like to know where I can get the background in the bubbles preview above. I didn’t notice that one in Vista.
Thanks!

ran bubles.scr on different xp computers. Those with 256m video memory show the desktop background, those with 64m show only black background. Did not even touch the register. So memory make the difference and seems no setting change will help.

Thanks for the nice information. I never tested it on a machine with 64MB graphics memory.
