Infact Windows 7 is going to release in 2009. So your assumption about 2-3 years is totally wrong.

Windows 7 is about to release in 2-3 years and it would encourage the use to touch devices . But , what would be the accuracy of touchless touchscreen ??

Myself I’ve been enamored with HP’s new Touch Screen PC.
It’s a thing of beauty, but is has its limitations. The downside
is you have to use HP’s software for the touch screen to work.

So someone like me who loves to Photoshop late into the night
won’t get any benefits out of HP’s new touch technology. But that
day is coming and when it does I’ll be waiting and ready!

Thanks for the really great information about touch screens. Touch screen will be the future in mobilephone and computer technology. But anyhow I find it really hard to write text messages on a mobilephone with touch screen, so there should always be the possibility to use the old fashioned mobilephone keyboard, but all in all it’s a great invention.

That is definitely a better idea than a touch screen. It reminds me of the Wii game system. I’ve avoided buying a touch phone because I didn’t want fingerprints all over it, I knew it would drive me crazy! I don’t think they’ll be able to do touchless phones though, or else they’d always be going off in your pocket!
